Current studies
Laboratory and Clinical Trials
Our contact lens laboratory includes a wide range of Instruments for measuring contact lens parameter like diameter, curvature, BVP, water content and more. The devices enable us to investigate different contact lens and intraocular lens designs. Furthermore we are able to investigate the influence of contact lenses and intraocular lenses on the human eye in clinical studies.

We determine different contact lens parameters with modern technique. These contact lens investigations take place in our modern laboratories in Jena. We are able to determine contact lens parameters and the influence of contact lens care products on the contact lens parameters in vitro (exclusively lab studies) as well as in vivo (clinical studies with subjects).
Research and Education in Jena
A close cooperation with the department of ophthalmic optics of the University of Applied Sciences in Jena ensures a regular information exchange and a high quality research. Furthermore, we hold regular workshops and lectures on the topics contact lenses, Dry Eye and device development.
